ELO Calculation
The ELO rating system is adapted for multiplayer Commander games based on Placement. Ratings start at a base ELO of 1000.
- Multiplayer Adaptation: A 4-player game is treated as 6 pairwise 1v1 matchups.
- Scoring: Finishing above an opponent counts as a Win.
- Expected Result: Higher-rated commanders are expected to place higher; upsets move ratings more than expected outcomes.
- Rating Update: A round’s change comes from the combined results against all opponents in that pod.
- Upsets: Beating a higher-rated commander grants more points.
* Commanders with < 3 games are excluded from ranking.
